EMPOWERMENT CONSULTATIONS: With 20 years of experience in the helping sector, I feel honored to be able to actively seek ways to meld my nonprofit expertise with innovative, exciting, impact-oriented models for businesses of the future. I believe that just as the nonprofit sector needs to learn more from the for-profit sector, traditional business processes will benefit by better understanding the kinds of empowerment strategies more commonly found in community-focused initiatives.   • CURRENT 2006: Organize California and Nevada churches, community groups and politicians on Complex 2030 discussions regarding the upgrading and evolution of strategic nuclear weapons initiatives. (National Religious Partnership).

  • ONGOING 2006: Commit progressive and accepting churches in California to be engaged in political and community efforts to better understand issues relating to lesbian and gay members of the faith community. (IMPACT Project, Cal Council Churches).

  • ONGOING: Engage alliance-building strategies for minority, faith-based and youth services to help them and the State of California better understand empowerment ideas for drug and alcohol program enhancement and fundraising. (ONTRACK California)

EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT:Progressively advanced over 10 consecutive years from fundraising/resource development coordination and general public relations work into positions of executive leadership (Fund Development Director to Assistant Director to Executive Director). Through out these positions I was generally responsible for program and budget planning and implementation ($500,000 to $4,000,000), personnel supervision (2 to 30 staff/volunteers), award-winning public relations, services marketing, client outreach and state and local policy development. In my fundraising capacities I successfully sustained ongoing and new project or emergency funding annually from governmental, foundations, contractual and member/donor efforts.

In addition to the 10 years noted above in formal leadership roles, I also served as a fund raising and program consultant for approximately 10 years. My major focus was on educational, HIV/AIDS, runaway/homeless, crisis counseling, support and health/wellness advocacy concerns with a wide-range of agencies. I developed comprehensive grant or foundation applications as well as community educational materials for agencies or collaborations.
